Important Risk Information:

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children up to age 16, in areas where drinking water contains less than optimal levels of fluoride, receive daily fluoride supplementation. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that infants and young children 6 months to 3 years of age, in areas where drinking water contains less than 0.3 ppm of fluoride, and children 3-6 years of age, in areas where the drinking water contains 0.3 through 0.6 ppm of fluoride, receive 0.25 mg of supplemental fluoride daily.

Do not use Quflora® Pediatric Liquid Drops in areas where the fluoride content of the drinking water exceeds 0.6 ppm F-. Chronic renal insufficiency and failure, arthralgia, gastrointestinal ulceration and osteomalacia are contraindications to fluoride therapy. Quflora® Pediatric Liquid Drops are not indicated for use in adults. Prolonged daily ingestion of quantities greater than the recommended amount may result in various degrees of dental fluorosis in pediatric patients under 6 years of age, especially if the water fluoridation exceeds 0.6 ppm.

The suggested dose should not be exceeded, since dental fluorosis may result in continued ingestion of large amounts of fluoride. Do not eat or drink dairy products within one hour of fluoride administration. Incompatibility of fluoride with dairy foods has been reported due to formation of calcium fluoride which is poorly absorbed. Your healthcare practitioner can prescribe the correct dosage.

Quflora® Pediatric Liquid Drops should not be used by patients with a known history of hypersensitivity to any of the listed ingredients.
